WHY CEC

What learning at CEC looks like.

Connected reading, inquiry and expression.
Explore the approach through real examples.

01

Read, then investigate.

A story opens a question. Children investigate through observation and explain their discoveries in English, connecting reading and activity.

02

Support for different starting points.

Pictures, real objects and sentence frames support participation, from naming a word to building a sentence and explaining a reason.

03

Original stories and learning resources.

PAWI, the CEC Discovery Journal, student activities and teacher guidance bring the learning approach into the classroom.

04

Learning you can see and discuss.

Teachers look at spoken ideas, records and creative work to discuss understanding, support and useful next steps.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions before
you join.

Can a beginner join?

We discuss age and English experience first. Pictures, real objects, movement and spoken support help learners participate. Tasks can range from words to sentences and explanations; suitable groups are confirmed in advance.

Are all two-hour sessions the same?

The three daily slots may cover different activities. Tell us your date and interests so we can explain what is scheduled for that session.

Do we need to book adult activities or stay at DONO?

Children can attend classes only and travel from another hotel. Accommodation, adult experiences and transport are optional and separately arranged.

What happens if outdoor activities are affected by weather?

Locations and activities are adjusted to weather and local conditions. Alternative reading, observation, science or art activities can take place indoors. A particular off-site visit is not guaranteed on every date.

How are handover and individual support needs arranged?

Before registration, we discuss the authorized pick-up person, emergency contacts, allergies and support needs. For transport, send your hotel and dates so availability and fees can be checked.

What feedback will we receive?

Teacher feedback is included for full-day participation and longer. It considers spoken ideas, records, work and support needed. Availability, timing and format of a detailed Growth Report depend on the program and length of stay; the same detailed report is not automatically included in a two-hour visit.

How do booking, cancellation and refunds work?

After your inquiry, review the group, total fee, inclusions, deposit, cancellation and refund terms before registering. Bookings through MyRealTrip follow the terms of the selected listing.

Are football and community activities always included?

Photographs show actual CEC and DONO activities. Events, off-site visits and after-school sports depend on the schedule and program; they are not all included in the standard class fee.
